How a job runs with us

1. Site walk. We review your design, look at the location, and identify structural or environmental needs.
2. Proposal and timeline. You get a detailed quote, finish options, and a timeline for your project.
3. The pour. Our crew handles formwork, pouring, finishing and inspections.

For a slab or foundation, the work starts in the dirt. The soil is excavated, graded and compacted for drainage, slope and stability. Reinforcing steel and drain lines go in before the pour. Control joints are cut into the fresh concrete, so if the slab cracks, it cracks in a straight line. Then the concrete is cured with attention. Concrete that dries too fast in hot weather is at more risk of cracking.

We look at slope, drainage and soil stability before the job starts. We manage permitting and inspections.

Residential and commercial

We do concrete on residential and commercial jobs. The trade is the same on both.

Residential work includes new home foundations, driveways, garage floors, walkways, lanais and pool decks. A single driveway or a repair is a job we take.

On a commercial job we can work as a trade contractor for the concrete and other ground work. We also take on tenant improvements, when a commercial space needs to be built out.

Why one contractor for several trades matters

Concrete is rarely the one trade on a job. The ground is excavated and graded first. Plumbing lines are laid before a foundation is poured. Trenches for water, electric and drainage have to be planned around the slab.

Our own crews do the excavation, grading, concrete, plumbing and electrical. The company that pours the slab is the same company that grades the pad and runs the lines under it. Our Hawaii license covers general building, electrical and plumbing.

Questions we get

Do you take small concrete jobs?

Yes. A driveway, a slab or a repair is welcome. So is a full project.

Can you do decorative concrete?

Yes. We do stamped and stained finishes on driveways, walkways, lanais and pool decks. We also do broom finishes, and we can embed pebbles in a path or stairway.

Do you repair concrete as well as pour new?

Yes. We do foundation repairs and garage floor repairs. A repair starts with an assessment of the damage. Then we fill and seal cracks and resurface damaged areas.
