# Electrical Contractor on Maui

Licensed electrical work for homes and businesses, done by our own crews. A panel swap or a full building.

## Licensed electrical, done in-house

Crescent Homes Maui does electrical work for homes and businesses on Maui. We hold the Hawaii C-13 Electrical classification, and our own crews do the electrical work.

We bring 35 years in the business and thousands of single-family homes and multi-family units built. Small jobs are welcome. A panel swap is a job we take.

## What we do

### Residential

- Wiring for new homes, additions and remodels
- Circuit planning and breaker installation
- Lighting layout
- Panel upgrades: replacing outdated or undersized panels and upgrading service
- EV chargers, with the installation permitted and inspected
- Solar: our electrical team has solar experience, so tell us what you are planning

### Commercial

- Commercial wiring for new construction and remodels
- Service upgrades and power distribution
- Lighting systems and signage wiring
- Panel installation and upgrades
- Inspection of an existing system for damage and safety hazards
- EV charging for businesses

Low voltage work is subcontracted.

## How a job runs with us

- **1. Consultation and assessment.** We look at your current system and what you need it to carry.
- **2. Proposal.** You get a detailed estimate and a project plan.
- **3. Installation.** We do the work to code and handle permitting and inspections.

A panel upgrade shows how it goes. We inspect the existing panel. We ask what you run now and what you plan to add. We check the house for damage you may not have noticed. Then we write an upgrade plan for your power needs.

On new construction we work with the architect and builder on the wiring plan: lighting, outlets, switches and room to expand. We leave capacity for later additions such as an EV charger.

Salt air and humidity are hard on electrical systems here. We plan for corrosion resistance, moisture control and weatherproofing.

## Residential and commercial

**Residential.** New wiring, remodels, panel upgrades and EV chargers.

**Commercial.** Commercial jobs take more electrical design than a house. Load calculations and code compliance matter. On a commercial job we can work as a trade contractor for the electrical. We also take on tenant improvements, when a commercial space needs to be built out.

## Why one contractor for several trades matters

Electrical work has to be coordinated across design, construction, the utility and inspections. On many jobs it also depends on other trades.

- Underground power needs a trench.
- A pool needs both plumbing and electrical.
- New construction wiring is planned with the architect and the builder.

Our own crews do the excavation, concrete, framing, plumbing and electrical. When those trades sit in one company, the coordination happens in-house.

## Questions we get

### Do you take small electrical jobs?

Yes. A panel swap or a single EV charger is welcome. So is wiring a whole building.

### How do I know I need a panel upgrade?

Common signs: breakers that trip often, lights that dim or flicker when an appliance starts, and burn marks or melting at outlets. If you see burn marks or melting, call a licensed electrician right away. A fuse box in place of a breaker panel is another sign.

### Do you install EV chargers?

Yes, for homes and businesses. We look at your power needs and panel capacity first. If the panel needs an upgrade, we can do that too.
